Top Rated, Water & Energy Saving 1.25 GPM Low flow Showerhead – Corrosion-resistant, High-Impact ABS Thermoplastic Body & Self-Cleaning
By: Niagara

Why I Like This

Low flow showerheads are a great way to save water, reduce your environmental footprint, and save money. When looking for low flow showerheads, you want to find ones with a relatively low GPM (i.e., gallons per minute). As of 2016, when I’m writing this, the average GPM for a conventional showerhead is anywhere from 3.5 to 5 GPM — meaning it uses about 4 gallons of water per minute. That’s a lot of water. Hate to break it to you, but we don’t need that much water when we shower. It’s unsustainable and wasting money. This low flow showerhead by Niagara is highly rated, and uses 1.25 gallons per minute, without sacrificing on pressure. I recommend making the switch. If you’re more interested in this topic, check out the collection we made, which features the 25 best, top rated low flow shower heads. The collection includes installation videos and everything you’ll need to properly use one of these awesome gadgets in your home.

Samsung UN40K5100, Energy Efficient 40-Inch 1080p LED TV (2016 Model) – Energy Efficiency Rating from Energy Star: $6 Estimated Yearly Energy Cost
By: Samsung

Why I Like This

TVs are an energy suck. They often use more energy than needed (relative to energy efficient, Energy Star Certified TVs, which work just fine), and aren’t designed with ‘smart’ energy options to save energy, as TVs are frequently left on for long periods of time without being used. Be honest, we’re all guilty of it.

This 2016 model, Samsung LED HD TV is a great option to replace your current TV and lower your energy bill. This model is Energy Star verified and has an estimated yearly energy cost of $6. That’s low! According to the Energy Guide, the average TV within this size has an energy cost of about $15 per year. If you’re more interested in other energy saving TV models, we made a collection we think you’ll like.
