We’ve always been fans of the WeWOOD brand. No only do they make really aesthetically pleasing, eco conscious watches (in our opinion), but they also do a great deal of social responsibility. Specifically, they have a pretty robust reforestation initiative, and have already planted over 400,000 trees. In sum, they’re watches look great, and you help to make this planet a bit greener in the process of getting one.

We figure that nearly all outdoorsy type people (like ourselves) carry a notebook with them. Maybe you write your deepest thoughts and feelings in it, or perhaps you simply use it to jot down a few notes here and there. Nevertheless, everyone could use one. The maker of this bracelet found a way to upcycle soda tops into a bracelet that actually looks good. We had to share it.

As you may have read in some of our previous kits, cork is an incredibly renewable and sustainable material. Cork is also pretty darn versatile. It can be used in everything from fashion to furniture. This cross strap bag is made with natural cork that’s been sustainably harvested. Also, if you’re getting a gift for someone who lives in California, or if you yourself are a Californian – this maker is based in California, USA.

OK. We know that we’ve shared about 5 different reusable water bottles through our many kits, but they’re just such an essential for eco conscious people. Trust us, virtually everyone in our social circles refuses to buy plastic water bottles and opts for reusable, eco friendly bottles instead. So, why’d we pick this one? One, we think it looks neat. Two, and more importantly, it has a wide mouth, which means you can easily fit ice into, pour liquid into it (without spilling everywhere), and you can actually clean it! Usually these bottles have small openings and you can’t clean the bottom of the bottle. With this one, you can. Thought we’d share that little piece of info.

Another essential for eco conscious people (that also tends to make for a solid gift): a backpack. If you’re getting a gift for someone who’s an avid hiker, or even just likes to carry things (our attempt at being humorous), we recommend getting a bag from an environmentally and socially responsible brand. Wood sunglasses to go with your wood watch. 🙂 Wood sunglasses are another one of those fashion trends that is starting to build some steam. We’d like to think that it has something to do with the fact that they’re more sustainable than the conventional plastic-based alternatives (we don’t like plastic) — but it’s probably also because wood sunglasses look cooler and are way more unique. You simply don’t see many people with them.

This is another sustainable wood watch by WeWOOD – with a twist. This is one from one of their newer lines that features canvas wrist bands, instead of wood ones. Of course, the watch face is still made of natural Indian Rosewood. We though we’d showcase two looks by them in case you weren’t so fond of the first one.

This is another super cool, modern and eco conscious notebook. Like the one above, this one sports recycled paper — but, not like the first one, this one was printed with environmentally friendly soy-based ink. fun fact: soy based ink is easier on the environment both in the way it’s made and how it naturally biodegrades in the environment. So, if you thought the first notebook was just ‘Eh’ – maybe you’ll like this one.

For our last accessory in this kit, we thought it’d be nice to feature a bracelet. Bracelets make for good gifts. This one is handmade with natural fibers — such as hemp — and presents a nice, earthy look and feel. We’re fans.
