I swear by this. Molly’s Suds was founded by a mother who wanted a safer, healthier, and “greener” alternative for her daughter, Molly. Their products are made with natural, plant-based ingredients and are rated “A” by the Environmental Working Group (which means that their ingredients raise little to no health concerns). I can’t stand to bring that conventional stuff into my home anymore.

Eco-Me is another great brand that is dedicated to bringing safer and “greener” alternatives to home cleaning essentials. If you prefer liquid laundry detergent over the powder form, I recommend this liquid laundry detergent. Its ingredients are 100% derived from plants and the formula is 100% biodegradable. It’s never let me down.

This is another laundry product that I swear by from Molly’s Suds. If you’re wondering what these are: these are wool dryer balls that work to soften fabrics naturally. You can replace your toxic fabric softeners with these. Something I also like about this product, is that it’s certified cruelty-free. It’s good for about 1,000 loads and lasts for about 3 years (according to their site).

I found Puracy only recently, but have quickly fallen in love with them. They use only plant-based ingredients and are always finding new, natural ways to clean your home. In addition to laundry products, they make tons of safer and “greener” home cleaning products – from all-purpose floor cleaners to dish and hand soaps. Something I picked up on recently about Puracy is that their packaging reflects their values. Their packaging is completely transparent, as they have nothing to hide! Love it!

Please throw away your bleach. I mean really, do everyone in your home a favor and pitch that stuff. I use this natural non-chlorine bleach alternative by Grab Green. This product helps to brighten your whites without the use of optical brighteners, chlorine, phosphates and dyes. This product is something I saw just recently. It was popping up on many of the sites I went to about a month back. It’s a portable laundry machine that uses no electricity (just the power of your hands and feet), and requires only six liters of water (the standard washers use about 30 gallons). It’s energy-saving and water-saving! It’s a good product to have if you hike or go camping often, or if you just do small loads of laundry and want to lower your environmental footprint and your energy bill.
